Q: How does Unity support the family after their loved one has died?

Unity's bereavement team offers grief support following the death of a loved one.  Services include phone contacts, individual grief counseling, support groups, mailings, newsletters, resources and invitations to memorial events and activities. 

Q: Can an individual participate in grief support programs even if their loved ones did not receive Unity’s services?​

Unity's grief programs are available for any member of the community who has experienced the death of a loved one.

Q: Does Unity offer grief support for children and teens?

Yes, Unity offers:

  • Generations – Hope for Grieving Families is a monthly program designed to support grieving families with children and teens ages 6-18. Dinner is served each evening at no charge. Age appropriate groups are held concurrently for parents or guardians, teens and children. This program is held on the second Thursday of every month from 5:30-7:30pm in the Green Bay area.
  • Individual Sessions
  • Support & education to area schools as requested

Q: Is there a fee for utilizing Unity’s grief services?

No, generous donations allow Unity to offer compassionate grief support at no charge. While it is not required, some recipients of grief support services choose to make a memorial gift or donation to Unity.
