Unity’s 2021 Honor A Life Gathering Facebook Live Event and Ornament
Unity’s 7th Annual Honor A Life Holiday Gathering – Facebook Live
Unity recognizes the importance of providing a space in time to gather for those grieving a death during this Holiday season. For the past six years, Unity has hosted the Honor a Life Gathering as a way to remember loved ones and provide support. We invite you to join us for Unity’s 7th Annual Honor a Life Holiday Gathering. To ensure the safety of all, this year’s event will be streamed LIVE Tuesday, December 14th at 7 PM on Unity’s Facebook page.
2021 Honor a Life Keepsake Ornament
Each year the Honor a Life Keepsake Ornament is an opportunity to create a remembrance that allows reflection on the life of a loved one, the journey of grief, and for hope healing. Local artist Carlie Petersen created the Unity 2021 Honor a Life Ornament inviting us “to experience hopeful warmth” and reminding us that this warmth comes in the form reflecting, resting, and restoration. As you reflect on this scene – consider what is stirred up for you and where you are finding rest and restoration in this Holiday Season.

Hope and Restoration
This year’s 2021 ornament features a peaceful winter scene overlooking a river guiding us to the light of hope. The river’s steppingstones remind us of those who lend support and strength when we need a safe place to land. The birch trees lend shelter to the lantern, creating a place to rest and reflect on all that our loved ones brought into our lives. Perhaps you find yourself looking for a place to rest this Holiday season. Be gentle with yourself, lean on those who care for you, and take time to reflect on the life of your loved one.
