October 5, 2023

De Pere, WI – Unity, Northeast Wisconsin’s nonprofit leader in hospice care, palliative care, nonmedical home care, and grief support, announces today the launch of a new website at unityhospice.org. The new site replaces the original site previously found at the same URL. This interactive redesign provides visitors an even more informative and user-friendly experience, complete with the support, resources, and education needed to navigate options for care in the complex healthcare environment of today.

“We strive to make every interaction with Unity as welcoming and informative as possible, and in today’s technology-driven world, that includes our online presence,” said Unity Executive Director Alisa Gerke. “After months of planning, we’re excited for the general public and our community partners to access our new website which serves as a comprehensive resource of valuable insights into Unity’s breadth of services, unique programs, caregiver tools, and patient experience stories.”

The new website features:

    • Navigation has been upgraded to ensure visitors can find the information they need quickly and discover new content.
    • Experience content like never before with interactive graphics, quizzes, and videos to help visitors best absorb the ways Unity can meet holistic, healthcare needs.
    • Language selector tool allows visitors to view the website in one of ten different languages and a font size selector tool enables those with a visual impairment to increase the size of copy for easier viewing.
    • Stay informed and engaged with an interactive event calendar, connecting visitors to upcoming educational presentations, memorial events, fundraisers, support groups and more.

Unity’s enhanced website offers visitors many opportunities to interact directly, including submitting a referral for care, requesting grief support, applying for a volunteer role, registering for upcoming events, and donating a monetary gift. All personal data is encrypted and safe. As a 501(c)3, donations to Unity help ensure patient care and grief support are available to all.

About Unity

Unity is a nonprofit provider of hospice care, supportive palliative care, nonmedical home care, and grief support across 13 counties throughout Northeast Wisconsin. A continuation of Bellin Hospice, Wisconsin’s first hospice program and the nation’s third, Unity is a partnership of Bellin Health, HSHS St. Mary’s Hospital Medical Center and HSHS St. Vincent Hospital. A true pioneer in caring for those coping with serious illness and end-of-life, Unity continues to lead the industry launching the state’s first palliative care program in 2002, the area’s first hospice residence in 2007, and the region’s only Grief and Education Center in 2021. As the only locally owned and operated nonprofit hospice agency in the region, Unity is the sole provider of inpatient hospice at seven area hospitals including Bellin Health, HSHS St. Mary’s Hospital Medical Center and HSHS St. Vincent Hospital. Unity’s partnerships with area skilled nursing facilities, assisted-living facilities and pharmacies ensure seamless care in all settings.
