Unity Offers Fall Volunteer Orientations

Volunteer Opportunities Available Throughout Northeast Wisconsin

Green Bay, Wis. – Unity, Northeast Wisconsin’s leader in end-of-life care announces two
upcoming New Volunteer Orientation sessions for community members willing to share their time, talents and treasures to help us carry out our mission.

Unity’s Volunteer Services Department works with individuals on a personal basis to find a meaningful way for them to assist with a variety of supportive services that are offered to patients, families, and the community. These services include, but are not limited to companion visits, patient transportation to medical appointments, sewing of memorial bears and pillows, knitting/crocheting prayer shawls, homebound patient haircuts (licensed hairdressers only), providing hospitality at Unity’s hospice residence and office support at Unity’s Administration building.

New Volunteer Orientation sessions are planned for Saturday, September 9th and Thursday, November 16th at Unity’s De Pere administrative office located at 2366 Oak Ridge Circle from 8:00AM – 4:30PM. Unity’s Volunteer Services Department staff will share insight into the volunteer role and provide education and leadership to help prepare individuals for their service role.

Interested individuals are asked to register for one of the sessions a minimum of one week prior to preferred date by calling the Unity Volunteer Services Department at (920) 338-1111 or emailing volunteer@unityhospice.org. A Unity volunteer Coordinator will follow up to begin the application process in advance of the orientation date.
