Unity Participates in Give BIG Green Bay: A Day That Amplifies the Nonprofit Difference

February 16, 2026

Each year, Give BIG Green Bay brings our community together around a shared purpose to support the local nonprofit organizations that make Northeast Wisconsin a stronger, more compassionate place to live.

Unity is proud to participate in this year’s 24-hour online giving event taking place from noon February 25 to noon February 26, hosted by the Greater Geen Bay Community Foundation. While the event lasts just one day, its impact reaches far beyond those 24 hours.

Why Give BIG Green Bay Matters to Unity

Give BIG Green Bay is more than a fundraising event; it’s an opportunity to raise awareness about the vital role nonprofit organizations play in our community.

As a nonprofit hospice, Unity is able to focus on what matters most to patients and families. Our participation in Give BIG Green Bay helps shine a light on the nonprofit difference and why it matters in end-of-life care.

Because we are a nonprofit, Unity can say yes to programs and services that improve quality of life, support families through grief, and respond to individual needs with compassion.

A Day That Helps Care Go Further

One of the unique aspects of Give BIG Geen Bay is the opportunity for community giving to go further. Donations made during the event are matched through the generosity of community partners, which grows the impact of every gift.

For Unity, this means greater capacity to:

  • Guide families through difficult decisions with the support of care teams who help ease emotional and spiritual stress.
  • Provide a safe space for grieving children, teens, and adults to heal through Unity's Grief & Education Center, where they can access support groups, counseling resources, and community workshops.
  • Support caregivers by providing respite so they never feel alone in their journey, allowing them moments of rest while knowing their loved one is in trusted hands.
  • Allow patients to remain in the place they call home, surrounded by the people and things they love.

These services exist because the community believes nonprofit care should be accessible, compassionate, and patient-centered.

More Than a Fundraiser: A Moment of Awareness

Give BIG Green Bay also provides a platform to share Unity’s story with a broader audience. Many people may be surprised to learn that not all hospice care is the same, or that nonprofit status directly impacts the scope and flexibility of care available.

By participating in Give BIG Green Bay, Unity is able to engage new supporters, educate the community, and reinforce a shared belief that compassionate care should never be limited by financial considerations.

How You Can Be Part of the Impact

During Give BIG Green Bay, community members are invited to support Unity in ways that feel meaningful to them, whether that’s donating, sharing information with friends and family, or learning more about the nonprofit difference in hospice care.

Every act of support helps protect compassionate care for patients and families throughout Northeast Wisconsin.
