Luminary Walk

Easy! You can register by mail, online, or at the Luminary Walk on Friday, May 9th at Heritage Hill State Historical Park, 2640 S Webster Ave, Green Bay.

All walkers are required to register either online, by mail or at the event. While there is no registration fee, we encourage walk participants to create their own fundraising pages and campaigns by utilizing these simple fundraising tools. Proceeds raised ensure anyone in Northeast Wisconsin in need of grief support or education has access to the professional, compassionate team at Unity Grief and Education Center. A $35 donation earns you a commemorative 2025 Luminary Walk t-shirt!

In order to be guaranteed a walk t-shirt of your size, registration along with a $35 minimum donation must be received by Unity no later than Friday, April 11th.

Yes to both! When you register online you will be able to register yourself and create or join a team. You can even personalize your fundraising page and invite your family and friends to join you in walking and making donations! Check here to see if someone from your team already registered: Walk Teams. If you are creating a team, use these simple fundraising tools.

You can either register through your team’s page or join the team after registering.  All current teams are listed here: Walk Teams. Select your team and click Register to sign up for the walk and join their team. If they are not listed yet, you can register and will have an opportunity to create or join a team after you register. If you already registered and are looking to join a team, find the email confirmation you received after you registered, and use the link in the email to access your fundraising page. From there you can join a team.

Form a team and combine fundraising dollars to earn a personalized leaf or bird on the Unity Grief and Education Center Tree of Hope. All donations made to your team online, or turned in by your team at the Luminary Walk registration table on May 9^th, will count toward your fundraising totals for reward eligibility.

The Walk will take place at Heritage Hill State Historical Park, 2640 S Webster Ave, Green Bay. Walkers will enjoy an evening stroll of glowing luminaries on our 1.5 mile loop. A wheelchair accessible tram will be available.

We would love to have you join from afar if you are not able to make it!  Please visit the online registration page to sign up and select "Virtual Walker” from the drop-down menu under Registration Type when completing the form. As a walker, we invite you to fundraise on behalf of Unity, to ensure grief services are available to all in our communities at no cost. Yes. Whether you are an individual, family, or business, many sponsorship opportunities exist to either honor a loved one or promote your business.

Due to the nature of this event, pets are not allowed.

Walk will take place rain or shine, except in the instance of severe weather. Check this event page for cancellation details.

ASSUMPTION OF RISK, WAIVER OF LIABILITY, AND RELEASE

In consideration for being permitted to participate in the Unity Hospice Luminary Walk (“Event”), I voluntarily agree for myself, my family, heirs, assigns, executors, and administrators to the following:

1. I assume full responsibility for any risks of loss, or personal injury, including death that may be sustained by me (or my dependents) or any loss or damage to any of our property as a result of participating in the Event.

2. I release, waive, and forever hold harmless Unity Hospice, Unity Grief and Education Center, and all of their agents assisting with the Event, sponsors and their representatives, volunteers and employees from any and all liability, claims including negligence, actions, demands, damages, expenses, attorneys’ fees, and all causes of action whatsoever, that I might have or may acquire in the future, arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury, including death, that may be sustained by me (or my dependents), or to any of our property while participating in the Event.

I acknowledge and fully understand that there is a risk of injury or death in any sport including the Event and that I am physically fit and medically able to participate in the Event. I assume all risks associated with participating in the Event, including, but not limited to falls, contact with other participants, the effects of weather, and conditions of the walkway and I waive all claims which I might have based on any of those or other risks of participating in the Event.

I grant permission to Unity Hospice to use my name, voice, and images of myself in any photographs, videographic or electronic recording of the Event for legitimate purposes. I understand there will be no refunds at any time.

No problem! This event is a community event and NOT LIMITED to families served by Unity Hospice. We encourage EVERYONE in Northeast Wisconsin to support the region’s only Grief and Education Center by participating in the Luminary Walk. The funds you raise by asking family, friends, and colleagues to sponsor you will make a lasting impact, ensuring everyone in our communities have access to compassionate grief support.
